FRP alias glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics, commonly known as FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics), that is, fiber reinforced composite plastics. According to the different fibers used, it is divided into glass fiber reinforced composite plastics (GFRP), carbon fiber reinforced composite plastics (CFRP), boron fiber reinforced composite plastics and so on. It is a composite material based on glass fiber and its products (glass cloth, tape, felt, yarn, etc.) as the reinforcement material, with synthetic resin as the matrix material. Fiber reinforced composite is composed of reinforced fiber and matrix. The diameter of the fiber (or whisker) is very small, generally less than 10μm, the defect is less and smaller, the fracture strain is about 30 ‰, is a brittle material, easy to damage, fracture and corrosion. Compared with the fiber, the strength and modulus of the matrix are much lower, but it can withstand large strains, and it is often viscoelastic and elastoplastic, which is a ductile material.
Glass fiber reinforced composite plastics (GFRP) various raw materials technical requirements:
1, glass fiber, the use of alkali-free glass fiber twist-free roving, the implementation of the standard GB/T 1836.9-2001 "glass fiber twist-free roving".
According to the provisions of GB/T 14206-2015 "Glass fiber reinforced polyester corrugated Board" 4.1 materials, the added material shall be non-alkali glass fiber non-twist roving, non-alkali glass fiber non-twist roving or non-alkali glass fiber chopped yarn felt.
Alkaline-free glass fiber twistless roving is mainly environmental protection requirements, but the price is high, which may cause the cost of glass fiber reinforced plastic guardrail to rise. GB/T 14206-2005 "Glass fiber reinforced polyester corrugated plate" version does not have this requirement.
2, synthetic resin
The synthetic resin is composed of unsaturated polyester resin, according to the standard GB/T 8237-2005 "Liquid unsaturated polyester resin for fiber reinforced plastics".

3, corrosion resistance, in 10% sulfuric acid, 20% nitric acid, 50% acetic acid under the long-term action is not affected.
Impact resistance is easy to recover, after being hit by the object, the elasticity is large, can be restored to the original shape. The fatigue resistance is about 50 times that of steel.
